50 Plus Long Term Care

Currently one in four Americans (7.5 million) aged 65 or older require long term care. Nearly 1.5 million live in nursing homes and many others are in receipt of in-home care. Recent federal legislation tightened eligibility rules for Medicaid's long-term care benefits, and closed loopholes that previously allowed some middle-income people to qualify. The message, we must be responsible for financing our own long-term care. That is why, AFSA offers its members this plan to help provide coverage for the care you or a loved one may need. Unless we are either very wealthy or very poor, there is only one practical option: insure against the risk. The younger you are when you apply, the lower the premium will be.
