Union Member Mortgage and Real Estate

For most people, buying a home is the largest, most important and most confusing purchase they will ever make. But AFSA members, their spouses, or children who are buying or selling a home have a benefit that makes the process easier and more affordable: The Union member Mortgage and Real Estate Program. This benefit will also help you to sell your current home, or to refinance an existing mortgage.

AFSA members selling their current home can save one-half of one percent on the real estate commission* if they use the program. AFSA members buying a home can receive answers from specially trained counselors to all of their home buying questions and help in finding a mortgage that is right for them. First-time buyers receive special assistance including help financing the closing costs. Applying for a mortgage is as simple as picking up the phone. The program offers competitive interest rates, plus assistance for members who are on strike, unemployed or disabled.

* The real estate seller's commission discount benefit is not available in AL, KS, MO, NE and WV.
